Every year we get our cars checked to make sure everything is in perfect working order and give it a tune up. We should have the same attitude when it comes to our dog training.
The variety of behaviours that you have taught your dog need to be fine tuned and tweaked on a regular basis to keep them in good working order. Things like recall, loose lead walking, general obedience and even socialisation all need to be revisited to keep the training up to scratch. If you don’t keep on top of your maintenance then you might find things starting to go awry.
Something like regular exposure to firework sounds will go a long way to keeping your dog happy during the few times of the year that fireworks are an issue.
